Selling my VERY rare 300zx
1 Attachment(s)
Well I put my deposit down for the FR-S. Time to let the Z go
Let me know if you guys have any questions! This is a 1993 5 speed manual Nissan 300zx convertible. Only 103 were made in this color (Cocoa bronze) with white interior. Only 53 of them were made in manual transmission. Cocoa bronze was the RAREST color made on the 300zx. This is my second 300zx so I know my stuff about the 300zx. I am also a full time mechanic and do nearly all my own work on my own cars. Less then 173,000 miles. Runs VERY strong. The good- New brakes (Z1 Performance Brake Package w/ 13" Front Rotor Upgrade, Hawk pads, SS brake lines) less then 3,000 miles on them. ($658) New 270cc injectors. ($698) New starter. (~$250) Newer top (was told it was replaced roughly 2-3 years ago). (~$1,200) Installed a used Burnout catback exhaust system (not sold in US). New black OEM floor mats about 2 weeks ago. ($129.00) Evo 8 wheels with CORRECT lug nuts. New NGK plugs. New clutch and lightweight flywheel replaced by previous owner. New AMS O2 Sensors about 2 weeks ago. ($88) All fluids have been flushed, including brake fluid (Dot 5), Clutch (Dot 5) coolant, Transmission (Redline MT-90), Differential (Redline 75-90), Oil changed twice within the past 3,000 miles at Collins Nissan. Cleaned the throttle bodies, MAF sensor, K&N air filters, The bad- The second week I owned the car, someone bumped into the right rear quarter panel. The dent is no larger then 8 inches, and could probably be taken out with a painless dent repair. Durring this recent hail storm, the car got a good amount of hail damage (I was actually trying to make it home and park in my carport). One plus side to this, is being a convertible, their is less damage to repair. The paint is still glossy. The transmission was pretty rough before I switched over to Reline gear fluid. All the grinding is nearly gone except for downshifts to 3rd at speeds higher than 45ish, and downshifts to 4th on occasional highway speeds. Very rarely the car has a grind from the flywheel when trying to start the car. I have heard it maybe a total of 4 times. Roughly 3 months ago, a bolt came out from the started and I guess it had just enough time to grind a tooth or two off the flywheel. Luckily I was in Goodyears parking lot and went ahead and had the starter replaced. The tires have plenty of tread left, but I bought them used along with the wheels. The tires were rubbing on the last car they were on (the do NOT rub at ALL on this Z). I purchased this Z as a temporary daily driver until the new Scion FR-S became available. Well today I actually went and put my deposit down, and sadly, its time to let her go. I have owned the car for about 6 months, and took very good care of her. I am sure I left a few things out, so feel free to ask me any questions. I get asked at least twice a week if I want to sell this car by people at stop lights, car washes, you name it. I know what its worth. Once again this is a VERY rare car. No trades. |
