warranty floor mats?

Just curious if anyone has complained to subie about the floor mats?

23,000kms barely 1yr of ownership and not driven the car for the last 4 months (in storage) and the drivers side floor mat has bald patches.

Guessing the answer is likely no.. but is such a thing covered under warranty?
Next visit to the dealer I am going to inquire.. well I should say haul it out and drop it on the service manager's desk :mad0260:

My 2009 yaris (more than 5 times the mileage) floormats look fine cept for a little fading - no bald spots or wear as extreme as the subie mats.

Honestly the first time I had chance to really look at the floor mats in daylight (bought the car in the dark with never having seen it in person in the daylight) I thought they looked like they wouldn't wear very well.

I plan on taking them out and getting weather tech liners.

Mine only has 5k and I noticed they were getting pretty rough where I rest my heel.

Hopefully, they will give u free all weather mats. I always ask whenever I go buy a car or when a friend buys a car; otherwise, even if they give me a good deal its not a deal closer until they finally budge for me to say "I will buy it."

I tried a set of weathertech this winter in the yaris, not sure I could stand a set in the BRZ .. we'll see. Thankfully lots of you have already gone to weathertech so there are a few sets of mint oem mats available for sale :happyanim:

I have Weathertechs in mine...my issue is that the dead pedal is completely trashed from dirt getting between my shoes and the aluminum. The finish is totally scratched up and looks terrible. I'm wondering if the dealer will replace that under "premature wear". Next winter, I plan on putting tape or vinyl over the dead pedal to protect it.

i warrantied my driver side floor mat with 3k miles on it. although i am a tech at a dealership, i don't think they'll give you a hard time if you bring it up.

Weathertech is the way to go. My FR-s mats were doing the same. They look and work great.

I did notice my carpet mats took a bit of beating in the 2 months they were in before I went to weathertechs as well. Right now I use the OEM carpet mats to add another layer of protection and line my trunk :).

I just got weather tech and kept my originals in my room lol.

Warrantied my mine as well. Had a nice hole in it down to the rubber backing at about 15k miles. My replacements wore the exact same way after a few thousand miles. I just said screw it and got weather tech floor mats. They are miles easier to maintain and provide a lot more protection.

Floor mats are junk.
Replace with weathertech and call it a day.
Decorate home with factory floor mats.
