Gifts for First 86ers
 

Not that I'm looking a gift horse in the mouth and all this is gravy as far as I'm concerned since I would've bought the car anyway. But lets check up on this as I think it varies by dealership. I received the following:

- FRS carbon fiber license plate frame that simply says "FRS" but is numbered on the back. Rumor has it these are made by Five Axis.

- Nice FRS backpack.

- Nice FRS black nylon coat

- Black FRS hat (similar to cloth hats but fits better with no back adjustment)

- Nice FRS stainless steel pen in numbered case

What I've heard others received that I did not :

- FR-S car cover

- $200 gas card

- Unique plaque for PekingDuck for taking delivery of first one. Yes, yes, let's keep the jealosy under control here.

- Black FR-S shirt with red FR-S on front. ( I got one of these at the car show the dealer put on for FR-S launch so perhaps they remembered I already received one).

Anyone else get anything interesting not on list? I'm thinking the car cover and gas card would be nice.

All i really really want out of that list is the car cover (and the gas card obviously), I got the (fake??) carbon fiber "theme" license plate frame and the pen.

I have received nothing other than my beautiful car.

I hope I get some swag since I didn't get either of those :)

Ah true, I'd left off both the trip and the swag we got along with the trip. Was just talking about swag that went with delivery.

I got nothing at delivery either...except the trunk mat that i had to pay 95 bucks for.

I didn't get either of those.

I didnt get any of the 'Scion Goodies' -- according to my dealership because I chose to forgo the dealership party, I didnt get the shwag. Thats a pretty lame way to hold things for ransom, I didnt think SCION rolled like that.

You know I don't think they charged me for the mat or the trunk appliqué. Shhh don't tell!

Maybe scion will just send me the stuff? They werent planning a party, but of course were going to have the newspaper there for their own publicity which would require me to take time off work... no thanks

i can care less if i got anything, its just that if they give some of the FIRST86 certain items and not the others that is just not right. Scion, if you are reading this, dont pick and choose who gets the gifts.

Corporate will send the gifts to you once the vehicle is "RDR'd". To my knowledge, you will receive:

Genuine Carbon Fiber License Plate Frame
Customized Car Cover
A pen (didn't see this in person, but supposedly epic as it comes with instructions?!!)

Peking got his at delivery because we pulled some strings :bonk:

I was at Five Axis when they were finishing off the CF license plate frames and there were definitely more than 50 being made.

^^ this ONE GUY knows more than the collective knowledge of everyone at one of the largest scion dealerships in Arizona. I should have just chosen Longo as my delivery dealer -- it would have been worth it to drive all the way out there and all the way back.

Jeff, keep being awesome and I hope they are paying you a metric fuckload of money because you earn it each and everyday by going above and beyond being a simple car salesperson.
