FRS iphone 5s bluetooth connection issue
Ive had my FRS for about 3 months now and i had the iphone 4. The bluetooth worked perfectly and always connected. A couple days ago i bought the iphone 5s and now i cant connect to bluetooth at all. The phone sees the car but says that it cant connect bc its out of range or not one which isnt true. I was wondering if anyone else had this problem and/or fixed it. Not sure if i could just take it to the dealer and get a software update.

Your car is actually looking for the old iPhone and that's why it says it's out of range, especially if your 5S was set up as "Restore from backup".
I don't know which head unit you have, but see if you can find an option to delete any of the old phones in the car, or wipe all the user data from the head unit, and then on your 5S, if the head unit shows up on the screen in the bluetooth section, make sure you click that little "i" on the right side and if there's an option that says "forget this device", click it to erase any info of your car from your 5S. Then set up as new phone on your head unit. |
I am gonna try that today and il see what happens thanks for the response
