Ohhh... I may have just found my first true mod (window tint and rally armor mud flaps don't count!). Is two months too early for a graduation present to myself? Haha...

Here's the BBS SR 18x8.0" on a WRB BRZ. Thinking of getting a set of Michelin Pilot Sport PS2's to go along with them. Any thoughts or opinions on either?

That's enough for me to forget how great they look.

They look strangely OEM. I think it has to do with how thick the spokes are.

I like them, but I don't love them.

They look like the 2015 Impreza WRX STI wheels. Don't know why BBS has to go in the cast direction these days. Their forged stuff is really good stuff.

I'm sure it has to do with cost. They are opening up to a whole new market. There's no way I'd spend the amount of money required to get a set of forged BBS's plus tires on a BRZ (no offense). It's like 20% the value of the car when you factor in tires, haha.

Eeehh... didn't notice that.

My other choice would be TSW Nurburgring's. Those are a pound and a half lighter than OEM.

I see. That is a tough call although paying for 20% of the value of the car also means you got your car for ultra cheap.

Haha. Check out the prices per rim for BBS F1's. You can easily hit $8k just in wheels!

Ehhh, do not want. Spokes are too thick / deep. I'm sure front on they'd look great, but that rear wheel will give me nightmares.

EDIT: I scare easily.

Im strangely drawn to these. Though I have a thing for "different" wheels. They are similar in style to the recreated Igeta's that I love but don't want to fork over $4k+ for.

I can point you in a different direction if you want those type of wheels. I didn't realize you're talking about BBS FI. That is another conversation to be had. I'm already working with clients who want those wheels, but remember in the world of tuning, you get what you pay for. :)

Oh no definitely not haha. I was just using them as an example of an expensive wheel.

Anyways, after a bit more research, I think I may have changed my mind altogether and settled on Enkei Raijins in black:

Who knew buying wheels was such a hard decision. I think I've spent more time researching these than I did when buying the actual car.

These were made to be tough winter wheels. They're intended to be the best looking winter wheel money can buy (not performance). So extra thick, cast, and a popular style.

The Forged version (BBS F1) don't come smaller than 19", don't have the P.C.D.for our cars, and are about $2k each.

BBS does have an intermediately priced Flow-Formed lineup, but none are in a similar style.

FINALLY a pic of the SR's on a twin... Been waiting forever for one.

They were on my short list, although I was more considering the machined black/silver ones that are coming soon:
