Pure white accessory lights?
I saw a car (I think it was a fiat of all things) that had very nice pure white accessory lights (license plate, door, interior etc.) ... not the cool white LED aftermarket look, nor the yellow-orangeish white those lights are on the BRZ.
Any idea of where I can get that look? Most the LED vendors look too blue. Example here is the color chart for one of the more popular vendors DiodeDynamics.. the cool white has that stereotypical "aftermarket LED" look I absolutely want to avoid. http://www.diodedynamics.com/store/m...r/spectrum.jpg |

Are you looking for something closer to 5,000K? Feel free to PM me if you need more information Nick C. |
I have the Diode Dynamic stuff. So long as you dont pick the super bright option it looks oem in my opinion. Its around 5000k which is pure white, not blue.

We will have chromaticity charts on the website showing the measured kelvin temperatures within the next few weeks.
It takes a long time to measure every single lighting product  Nick C. |
Problem is its hard to tell on a computer monitor or pictures (in fact either the diode dynamic picture changed (unlikely) or the color tone is different between my work PC and my mac at home because now the diode dynamic cool white looks almost pure white).
I know whatever it was on that car I saw, and maybe it was not even LED, was beautiful. I have seen a diode dynamics main cabin light in another frs/brz and it was too bluish for me. Maybe I should get the diode dynamics trunk light, since that is low risk, as a test. |
