So some unknown stranger sat in my FR-S today

Today when I went to drive my car to work, I noticed that the trunk was slightly popped open, and my driver's seat was pushed back from its original position.

I didn't see any visible damage, and nothing was stolen.

I'm usually good about locking my doors, so maybe someone just pulled on the door handle and thought, hey, I'll take a seat.... ???

Meh. It sucks that it happened in my condo's parking garage, so there's a possibility that the person might try to do it again.

Probably just an interested prospective FR-S buyer....checking the seating position and trunk space.

Keep your eye out for tall people lurking around your car .... they may try to take a test drive next time .... :paddle:

Thats good that nothing was damaged or stolen. Too bad there was no camera to see who sat in your car.

I agree. Next time maybe leave the keys there, in case they would like a complementary test drive.

Then tzhu07 won't be able to see his car anymore because they love the car so much.

I've had an old guy open my passenger door and just get in when I was getting out at Publix once. He just really wanted to see the inside. Probably a similar thing. And I've watched people walk up to it, peer inside, and actually check the handles. People are curious about the car...so yeah lock the doors.

I had a dude knock on my window then try to open my door while I'm sitting inside. I filled his lungs with tire smoke. #yolo

Everyone that has approached me have merely been curious about my car. I can't help but initially get tense about what their intentions are, but, so far nothing malicious.

Or someone wanted to steal it and then changed their mind. :/

Did you find a note that read something like "Thanks for the F-shack - Dirty Mike and the boys"?

subiestyle 03-31-2014 06:10 PM

lol, goldilocks didn't like your car's fit.

Man, that would make me so uncomfortable.
I get people being curious, but sitting in someone else's car is taking it a bit far. Go to the dealership and sit in it if the owner isn't there, rather than just inviting yourself in.
