Top Speed Pro-1 Catted UEL Headers.

Decided it was time to finish off my exhaust setup and went looking for headers. Was not entirely sure what i wanted to go with but wanted to go with a company that would stand behind their product through and through without fail. Top Speed Pro-1 has been that company!

At $400 shipped to my door i couldn't have gone wrong with these headers as everything came included in the box (as well as a little swag to go with)

My setup includes a Top Speed Pro-1 Over pipe a J2 Catless front pipe and a J2 dual Cat back system. (yes i am balling on a budget) but it sounds fantastic! Tons of that Boxer growl and grunt!

At a first glance the header looks great! the welds are fantastic and to top it all off...ITS CATTED!

here are some shot of it before it went on the car!

And then the few i snapped of it on the car!

As you can see it clears everything VERY well!

And a quick Snap shot of some Top speed Swag!

Now as far as sound, The Top Speed header is not as loud as say the Borla or the Revworks or HKS mainly because it has about the same diameter piping as Stock but with smoother T304 Stainless Steel piping and a high flow cat. However it really brings out the true sound of whatever exhaust is coupled to it and really pulls out the much desired Boxer rumble! Below is a quick video i managed to snap right after we installed it. The exhaust has for sure toned itself a bit more since its begun to break in, the initial rasp has cut down noticeably and the rumble has become more defined!

All in All Top Speed Pro-1 performance is a fantastic company to work with! My rep Ian Maina has been excellent from beginning to end getting me hooked up with everything i need exhaust wise. Will definitely be coming back for more and for sure recommend everyone giving them a shot! These guys work on anything from FR-S to Lamborghini to Aston Martin so they are not some small shop they know what they are doing and customer service is their top priority! so if you haven't already checked them out here is their website and facebook info!

Top Speed Pro-1 Catted UEL Headers.

Did you dyno it? I'm very intrigued at the idea of a quality catted header at $400. Considering I've read that a quality HF cat alone will run you half that...

Even less uel than ft86speedfactory.
No rumble at all..

It is not the same as the Manzo, I brought that same question up to Ian. Top Speed has their own factory in Plano TX that does all of their exhaust for them. they are not a company that sends off to china for their parts. He said a few other companies have inquired to them about buying the headers from them and are possibly re-branding them but that they are not aware of Manzo being one of those companies.

To be fair, the sound on the video was low quality, too much reverberation to get a good idea of what it really sounds like.

I have not had the chance to get it on a Dyno yet as its only been on for a few days now. The welds all appear to look fantastic and the Cat itself hasn't given me any issues the whole system sounds great!

And the other is sold as EL...
No idea where the UEL came from.

luuser75 03-31-2014 03:09 PM

In for dyno results. If this header gets rid of the torque dip, it would be a steal!

Ocean-Grown 86 03-31-2014 04:37 PM

Is it just me or does this design look identical to the stock headers, which are 4-2-1 barely unequal
