If no one knew - this stereo runs 4.1.1 and is their new version with upgraded hardware compared to past
I had the last unit, and got the newest one as soon as it came out! HUGE upgrade. Im an android enthusiast, but hate hacking my devices - so i was thrilled this worked out of the box. |

Great find!!! |
Nice head unit. The only down part is the wireless dongle sticking out so much. Doesn't it get in the way while driving?
|
Looks like it could but to remedy for that is to get a obd2 extension cable and that would take care of that problem. :)

I do highly recommend an extension cable to prevent fatigue on the stock OBD2 connector though... |

that said, you can easily unscrew the obd2 port and re-configure it so it doesnt get in the way if it bothers you. |

I really like that it has a battery to keep it from cold booting each time. This seems like a really well thought out product. Does anyone happen to know if it has an accelerometer for Torque? I didn't see mention.

The battery for the cold start booting is fucking awesome. I left it for 24 hours and zing - it was on as soon i turned the key. Some OEM navigation units arent even that fast. |
Can't view videos at work.. What color are the buttons at night? Have to stick with the red theme.. Thx!

I noticed in your videos, several times it looked like the unit didn't respond to your touch. Do you notice that in regular use? I realize it's tough to deal with the screen while also recording the video, so maybe that's what was going on. I don't suppose you've tried pairing it with an external 10Hz GPS? This looks like it could make a nice track timer if it can pair with the Qstarz or Garmin GPS. Thanks! |

I have noticed the hardware home, back, and menu buttons are faster to respond... no idea why though. I haven't tried any other GPS units - but it is a pretty standard adapter it seems. That said, the included one is pretty beefy and locks instantly. |
Decided to write a full review guys - check it out with all the photos, and videos you could ever ask for :)

i cant remember if i've stumbled onto your other reviews/thread posts, but have you tried the no-name chinese knock off? i think they're called the ouku T7019A radio. apparently they're good but im just scared of buying something shipped overseas and having to deal with overseas company for warranty.
