I have a related question. If I copy the stock file on to the OFT, will I be able to make a back up of that file on my computer? I am concerned about that because I don't like the idea of loosing the only file that can bring my car back to stock configuration to be lost (broken tablet/corrupting the file).

Is this something I should be worried about?

Hi @shiv@Vishnu. Would you please advise also how to "unmarry" OFT to be used from one car to another?

Sure. Just flash the original file to the ECU. Then connect oft to OF Manager and go to Erase Data section. Then erase data. After that, the OFT can be used in another vehicle. If for any reason the Erase Data function isn't selectable, let us lom and we can enable it remotely :)

Thanks a lot Shiv. OFT needs to be reopened the reinsert USB (after deletion of bin files) in order to have the erase data section available...:)

this was exactly what i needed to know. had no idea about the erase data portion. hands down best upgrade for the money. its to bad the twins couldnt drive out of the box like it does on e85.

I'm sorry, I can usually figure out typos or odd abbreviations, but this one kicked my butt.
The reasonable guess would be "know", but that has the wrong number of letters.

Anyone know if the engine needs to be started during this process?

I'm reverting ecu back to stock (currently using stage 1 tune) in order load a base CARB tune for newly installed FI via ECUtek.

Problem is I already installed all the hardware which was my mistake and I don't want to start the engine with new parts installed without the CARB tune.

Thanks

No, the ignition gets turned on, but the car should not get stared.
