Make sure you never need to replace the front or rear clam (body panel). It will cost insurance $10k to fix at least! I know because when I had mine for 2 years it was lightly grazed and fiberglass isn't easy to fix unless it's super minor. Also never hit a parking spot's cement thing in front as the Elise doesn't have a front bumper. It will just make a loud bang as there's no give in the body. ;) I have a list of parts I put on my Elise before I sold it if you'd like any ideas. Also Radium Engineering is a local company that makes parts for it and turbo'ed theirs to about 350hp or so, which on an Elise is just nuts! Every year on labor day weekend at Portland Raceway there's a British car weekend so make sure you visit or enter your car in that too.
