A pretty shit experience at Mavis tires...

This was a while ago, about three weeks ago.

My recent scandal at the Mavis Tire on Sunrise Highway, Massapequa Park.

I had a bubble on my driver rear tire, i had two new rear tires and i simply just needed to get them swapped out.

It was the afternoon on a Friday, i called around a few places asking if they were too busy or not and if i could stop by and get the tires put on. Three i called so far said no. So i called Mavis and they said "Yeah.", that's all they said. Okay, see you soon.

I arrive at Mavis, their helping some people, so i wait a cool 15 minutes, no problem. It's my turn, i told him that i just called to get my rear tires swapped, etc etc. He then says to me I told you to come tomorrow. , what? You only adhered one word to me. Alright, whatever.

But, it's what came next that truly bothered me. He went ahead and mocked my beautiful teenage voice "Okay, see you soon.". The fuck? I wanted to tear the place down, but i simply left calmly.

I wish i had the function to replay phone calls, i'd embarrass the fuck out of him in front of everyone. But this isn't worth my time, i only wrote this so the world knows another shit of a place not to go to. Even though it'll leave no effect. But i get it now, jealously is a green eyed monster which doth mock.

Fin.

Go to Camber Toe for your tire stuff bro! They are really good for alignments too.

Personally, I don't even let those monkeys with wrenches (any chain oil/tire place) touch my daily driver Tacoma. Nevertheless my BRZ.

The Midas near me was bought by a gearhead, use to work at Porsche developing the 944, had a long talk with him.

They have new tire equipment and alignment machines, they really stepped it up. They're trying to bring in more car guys, even getting tire rack certified next month.

The only time i go to a shop is for tires and alignment anyways, though I've heard okay things about Camber Toe. Nothing stunning.

Assuming this is the whole story and the tire guy wasn't being provoked (I have to add that because there's usually two sides to a story).

Nonetheless-

Customer service like that is pathetic, next time tell them to get the car ready as you're leaving and not giving them any money. After that, find out the name of the manager (or district manager) then have a nice talk with him/her as to why this underling's mocking you is unprofessional, unacceptable, and the reason for revenue loss. Stress how they will continue to do so as you subscribe to forums like this and other like minded enthusiasts in the area will avoid their establishment (I know I will).

I had a bad experience there too. Waited 3 hours for them to mount my tires and they put them on backwards on THREE rims. real dumb stuff.
