Can anyone identify this wire?

Bump...might just be a random/extra cable from the harness that is utilized by a different model?

supramkivtt2jz 03-28-2014 10:46 AM

how many pins does it have?

Bump....any clue?

There's a thread about this a while back. I forgot what it was

This is the only thread I could find about a loose wire. There may be others, but I only searched on "passenger wire". The connector in the link looks different though.

The blue tape indicates it's an accessory connector. If you don't have whatever accessory it is used for, it should not be connected to anything.

it has a push pin thing attached to it so it should be held in place somewhere at least.

I was hoping he could tell me how many pins it has - the brz wiring diagram displays all connectrs and the routing path of the wires.

sounds like this might be for the interior footwell kit you can buy from your local dealer?

I thought that kit came with its own harness that plugs in behind the stereo. Would the harness already be there?

Here are more angles of the plug, 3 wires go into it: White / Red-Blue / Yellow-Black

Well, BrewCity-FR-S, if everything works on your car ...... I'd just put a piece of electrical tape over the end of it and stuff it back under the dash where it came from and forget about it......;)

PS - further research leads me to guess (if it were a BRZ) it would be a H-26 or H-27 connector for the door control receiver, which is part of the theft control system. Not positive of all of that.
