Looking to buy a 2013 [new] BRZ

Hi,
I'm looking into buying a BRZ, I've found a new 2013 black BRZ with sport tech package at my local dealer which I really like.

Since its a 2013 they are financing at 0.5% and giving me a 500$ rebate from Subaru Canada. On top on that they lowered the price twice by 500$ each time (for a total of -1500$)

Before taxes the total is at 28795$(+1595$ in transport/preparation) and at 34099.75$ with taxes.
(got 6500$ in trade in from my 08 WV Rabbit (but I need the money to clear the loan on it))
In the end it would cost 265.62$ per 2 weeks for 5 years (or 250.04$ with 2000$ cash)

I guess I'm trying to determine how much wiggle room there is left on that price.
Info on BRZ promotion is next to non-existent (at least in Canada/QC)

I'm going back tomorrow and I was thinking of asking to get the price down by another 500 to 1000$

What do you guys think ?
I'd love to hear about anyone who recently bought a BRZ.

Thx for you time,
xmadror

Sell your Rabbit privately, you will get more money for it and have more to put down on the BRZ.

I live in Alberta, 2014 Sport Tech cost me $31350 all said and done after taxes and negotiating, I managed to get cost +$500 which is somewhere between $1500-2000 off MSRP.

I know I'd get more for selling the Rabbit myself but I dont really want to deal with it. (working at night and I dont want to have to stay home because someone is supposed to have a look at it but never show up) I still might try to sell it since they have offered me up to a month to sell my car after I put a 500$ deposit on the brz.

That price seems a lot better then what they offered me but then I remembered that Alberta only has 5% taxes right ? (QC taxes at 15% sucks)
So you'd be at 29857$ before tx.

I'm at 30505$ if I add everything up but the taxes.
Which means ~650$ over your price.

So it seems like there is some wiggle room left but not a whole lot either.

Thx for the info, exactly what I was looking for.

Make sure to use black book to calculate the value of your trade-in. When I traded for my FRS, they low balled hard and I got them to raise it to near mid-point of BB value for trade in. If it's within the trade-in value for BB + decent condition, they shouldn't have an issue taking it for that price since they'll use the same justification to flip it.

US Dollars here, but mine stickered for right at 29k and they came down to 27.1k. Could not get them to move further, even when I negotiated with them using an identically equipped low mileage used BRZ.

I paid $30,000 + tax for my Sport Tech last year before rebates were available.

My personal opinion is that if you pay more than 29,000+tax for a 13', you're over paying. The car is already 1 model year old when you're buying it.
