Perrin 3" Exhaust Sound Clip

Here is a small sample of my Perrin exhaust. I am currently running a complete 3" cat back system with a Perrin CAI. I recently purchased an FT86 catted header, but that won't be in for a while. I will compile more sound clips for those who are still undecided about this setup. As for myself, I love the growl of this system. Also, it has a low tone that allows you to hear yourself think and carry out conversations..."If need be"

Thanks for the video! Is this with a resonator or without?

Chris,

Sure thing! This is the resonated system. I will post other sound clip videos when my boy has time to record them; also, I will post sound clips when I install my FT86 catted UEL header too...haha, whenever that decides to make it's way here, which is in Hawaii. lols I think it is going to be another 8-10 weeks :(. Either way, thanks for looking and be sure to check this thread for future updates.

Aloha,
Ace

Nice, that's the same exhaust I got too. Pretty mellow with stock everything else. I can't wait to start adding more to the exhaust too!

Chris,

OIC...so you are going to purchase everything else individually? IMO, I really like the way this entire setup sounds together. This Perrin exhaust system has the sweetest sound, provides the perfect amount of throttle response, and growls in a really deep tone too. I am so excited to see how this setup will sound with the FT86 catted UEL header.

Cheers,
Ace

Warm idle sounds good but man, my 3" Perrin with full headers/overpipe/front pipe is unbearably loud and raspy.

Is your Perrin resonated or un-resonated? Also, what brand and style header system are you running? And is it EL or UEL? I have heard a gamut of header systems out there, but so far, FT86's UEL catted header system sounds the most bearable to me. I went ahead and purchased it; however, it's going to be awhile before I get it. Once it arrives, I will be sure to post sound clip videos.

Resonated.

JDL UEL Header
JDL Over Pipe
JDL Catted Front Pipe
Perrin 3" Resonated

Yep I'm doing them in steps. If it were me, I'd go for an equal length header, to me it sounds a lot better, plus it'll be quieter. We had that setup on our old car with a uncatted equal length header, over pipe, catted front pipe and it sounded great. With a catless front pipe, it was a little too loud.

Sorry took so long, but better late than never. This exhaust has a very deep tone to it and you won't be disappointed. Let me know if there is anything else you'd like to hear or see, and I will try to see what I can do.

Installed my FT86 UEL headers and made a sample sound clip. Stand by for more to come.
