Where to buy carbon activated cabin air filter?
So I went to the dealer to check on some fan blowing noise (unfixable btw) and the guy said I need to replace my cabin air filter and that there was a carbon activated one that comes looking black that might be available. He didn't know if the dealer OEM one was this but it was 70 bucks.. O'reilly auto parts has it for our car for 30 bucks but I do not know if it is the carbon one.
Does anyone know where to buy the carbon one besides from the dealer? edit: some threads say these are OK but looking at the dimensions they wouldn't fit well. What was the fan blowing noise? I had my motor replaced after whirring/buzzing noise that wasn't normal but it didn't fix the problem. You have the same issue or something else? |
Don't tell me you guys tried to fix the fan from the heater/AC...

If you are still within your first 24k miles, Scion owes you a cabin filter as part of their free 2y/24k maintenance offer.

Saying it's a 25k car is a poor excuse for accepting failures in my opinion. If something appears broken I'm going to look for a fix whether it's a BMW or a Scion. |
Walmart has these for $17 a piece, buy 2+ and get free shipping..
