BRZ to NA Miata

Recently, I was given the opportunity to buy my Grandfather's 1991 British racing Green Miata. I have been oogling this car since I was 11 years old.

Well, he recently decided it was time to pass it down to me.

The car is in great shape and I drove it from North Carolina to Washington with no problems.

Anyway, I had no need for 2 sports cars, so I sold my BRZ to a dealership.

I actually did ok.

Anyway, no sour grapes here.

The BRZ is a kick ass car and I recommend it to anyone who values a great handling car and great looking car.

I sold mine because I picked up a family heirloom.

I own both! A BRZ and an NA Miata and sometimes I feel like I should get rid of the BRZ because the miata is just so much fun to drive lol

Let's see this British Green Race machine.

What kind of shape is it in? Stock? Mileage?

A clean 91 BRG would probably be a bit of a collector's item at this point.... if it was really nice I would garage it and daily the BRZ (but it looks like you already have another DD)

I wish I would have kept my miata along with my BRZ. Definitely worth having both.

Cool, gonna upload some pics.

As far as shape...it has 69k miles and it is completely stock for now. I plan on putting new wheels/tires and upgrading the shocks/springs.

Great color! I like the hard top too.

awesome. As sad as I am to see you ditch the 86, I TOTALLY understand. Miata's are outstanding, and if you can't keep both, you gotta keep the heirloom you oogled over for a lifetime.

Plus, i'd rather have a free mazda that had sentimental value than a BRZ I spent money on any day.

Great color combo too, so.... british. It rules. Happy you kept it in the family, and I know how it feels to get a great heirloom that you cherish. $20 says you pass it down in 45 years or more to a nephew or son or something.

Man, how many Justice Points was that sweet Heirloom?

n2oinferno 03-26-2014 11:51 AM

I love modifying my cars, but something in that good of condition I'd probably keep stock.

That's a sweet ride.

It's already 23 years old, you should keep it in the family and give it to your own children when they're of age.
