Hexon RR350 turbo kit
http://www.ebay.com/itm/HEXON-RR350-...8dace2&vxp=mtr
just saw this...anyone know anything regarding this kit?:search: |
Looks good,
same as Greddy and SBD but with real Tial EWG & BOV, black piping, I like the Vband downpipe too and the billet 11blades Td05h 18g. maybe those upgrades a realy worth the premium price vs SBD, against Greddy it's a no brainer though @ 1500 under. |

another one? That waste gate placement could be a lot better given that much room to play with.
|
No experience with the kit however their part about the billet wheel is rather humorous. :)
|
Why do people look for other kits when there are so many reputable vendors at the same price?
|
There are a lot of different version to choose from. They all seem to have billet CNC compressor wheels too. The G Plus engineered version seems to be the least expensive, but does not have an external wastegate though. :/

Sometimes the phrases "too good to be true" and "didn't people learn from before?" need to be hammered down. HARD....

Hi, guys
I understand that alot of guys here never heard of us so, I'm just here to point out the RR350 a few other different things than the others. 1. This kit is not just only good for a TD05H turbo, so there are turbo upgrade options as well. In doing that we spent a lot time on intercooler piping layout trying to have as much space as possible for the upgrade. 2. Thermal coating: this coating on the pipes is actually extremely useful to reduce the heat coming out from the turbo which only 3 inch away. 3. Thermal blanket, same thing to stop the heat !. 4. overpipe included. 5 downpipe extra o2 sensor/EGT bung. 6. turbine wheel 11 blades /compressor wheel 11 blades 7. Oil Pan tapping, no welding required on oil return tube 8. Tial BOV and Wastegate holding boost solid ! 9 V-band design 10 there will be a optional bumper reinforcement bar available soon. I am putting up some photos to compare other brand with our kit side by side just for your reference. http://www.ccfabrics.com/ebay/auto/H..._comparing.jpg ***the other brand layout http://www.ccfabrics.com/ebay/auto/H..._comparing.jpg ***this is our previous version RR350 with the a nice andoized heat shield. http://www.ccfabrics.com/ebay/auto/H...50/other/3.jpg ***We are testing the TD06 on RR350 first for the RR400 project. http://www.ccfabrics.com/ebay/auto/H...33_resized.jpg ***oil return tube :party0030::party0030::party0030: |
@hexonracing is Zage involved in this kit? I'm just curious why there are half a dozen or so extremely similar kits under different brand names now.
|
@mrk1 no, Zage not affiliated with HEXON :). We designed our own kit and started from scratch.
|
@hexonracing I would advise posting a development thread about the design process you guys went through in building the kit, if possible. That will help cut down on the flaming you guys will receive. If that doesn't happen I would probably put money on people saying, "it is just another Greddy kit." Most of us who frequent this section are looking for the company who caters to the enthusiast by interacting with them. I have followed a number of turbo builds and have my mind made up based on the research and development.
|
@mrk1 We actually have this FR-S turbo kit since last year in July. I guess it's just a good timing for everyone to introduce their own kit now.

@CoupedUpSubie
thanks for the tip ! the write-up will be posted shortly. :) |
