One second, let me go get me ruler...

FunCon5 03-22-2014 11:23 AM

What tires are you going with!? A 285/30/18 will be streached on the front!!!!!

ZionsWrath 03-22-2014 11:27 AM

Those are rims you put a benjamin on and take a pic, and it looks like room to spare :D

Basket Case 03-22-2014 11:31 AM

I like the looks of the fender flairs without that god awful side skirt.

adprokid 03-22-2014 11:50 AM

What is your power goal ? What's the offset and tire sizes you will run ?

LS or not, you bust on that wheel setup. Such a shame.

Flat Black VW 03-24-2014 11:39 AM

Looking forward to seeing this

xwd 03-24-2014 12:07 PM

It would only really look decent with a custom rear setup with a tubbed chassis and custom rear end/axles/etc. Having them stick out or running like -8 degrees of camber is beyond dumb.

I'm surprised nobody is running super wide wheels with these kits. I'm on a 9/10 setup under stock fenders, and based off the added width of the kit you could easily go another 3" wider. I'd love to see someone do one of these with an 11" front and 12" or larger rear and some 3xx width tires... now THAT would be wild. :P

Glad to see someone doing this on the wide fender flares (especially in NC)! Now if only we could convince you to run these tires in 285/30-18 and 335/30-18... :D

That looks like a mortgage payment to me.

dmarkey 03-24-2014 12:58 PM

Just to give you an idea, this is if you're on the tire sized listed above with an estimated et-18 and et-31 on the wheels. A little stretch, but nothing like what you're talking about.

I'm not seeing anything on his car that doesn't, hahaha.

fooddude 03-24-2014 03:28 PM

Wow...you're prolly gonna be KING in the world (including Japan I bet) for aggressive wheels on an 86 :)

Btw: what suspension/coilovers are you planning to run??? I assume it will be nothing short of a top-tier coilover with such big tires, wheels and an LS1 and a high budget! Custom JRZ, Penske, Ohlins, Sachs??

Mathewgzlz 03-24-2014 03:35 PM

i feel like that almost never happens with stuff like this but i hope to be pleasantly proved wrong. adding a six inch lip and jrz dont really happen to the same car do they?

Jhon19lopez 03-24-2014 06:34 PM

Im on ohlins

Vic 03-25-2014 09:04 AM

Is your goal to make the worst handling 86 in the world? If so, you may be on the right track.

It's all about style (so I'm told).

Take a well engineered car that handles well and absolutely destroy that in the name of looks. I can't say I understand, but it's not my car. I would at LEAST put a proper tire size on the wheel if I was going to go that far.

How long before the Mad tyte JDM style is super wide tires on skinny ass wheels? 285/40/17s on a 4" wide wheel will look SO TYTE.
