NYC info

i wanna compile a list of the best places in the area so people can refer to it as needed.

brushless car washes

best gas stations

best body shops

best dealers

well this is also because i am looking for almost all of the following after a brutal winter here in NYC so im sure other people will find this useful as well to give ur cars some after winter TLC and get them ready for some fun in the sun.

thanks

I was my car at the BP station on Queens Blvd and 59th street. $4 give you 8 minutes of a high pressure hose! The drive across to the park and dry up.

According to http://pure-gas.org/, there isn't any ethanol free stations in NYC, but from my experience, a Mobil station over at Bay Parkway and 70 something street, everytime I used the gas from there, my crickets would somewhat go away. Doesn't mention anywhere either on their ethanol content, but that also doesn't mean they don't put any.

shell is over priced, generally 10 cents more per gallon than competitors in the direct vicinity... they still all contain 10% ethanol...

The general concensus (mainly based off of the study done a couple of years ago) is that Shell does actually have the best premium gasoline in terms of the amount of detergents and at least for me, it's also cheaper than the other places.

Pretty sure a law was passed, for several states, NY included, that all gas has to have ethanol added.

That being said, if you can make the drive to Jersey:

- the gas is cheaper
- it is ethanol free
- the pump it for you
