I should've waited. I just bought my wheels 3 days ago.

Lol unless I'm not seeing it on page? I don't see any specs or options.

Anyhow looks like SSR GTV03

I want weight for 17x7.5 if available.
Right Now the Alleggerita HLT are the best light option from OZ.
If they weight the same I'll get this for sure.

ecdhunt 03-19-2014 06:21 AM

I couldn't even find weights on OZ site - says May release from OZ; est delivery is 5/27 on tirerack - not going to run my winters that long. Offset for 17x7.5 is 35mm though - this could be really nice.

I ordered these for my BRZ - 17x7.5, 48mm offset - a couple weeks ago when they first appeared on tirerack's site. Tirerack expects to receive my rims from OZ around May 10 - per my sales rep I'll be one of the first two people in the country to receive a set in that size.

Weight should roughly be the same as the OZ Ultraleggeras. 18x8s weigh 18.3lbs, per tirerack. So a good guess for 17x7.5s would be around 17lbs, so heavier than the Alleggeritas. 17x7.5 Ultraleggeras weigh 16.7lbs, per tirerack. On an Audi forum, 20x8.5s came in at 23.3lbs. Tirerack hasn't physically received any 17in Leggeras, so they are unable to weigh the rims themselves and therefore have nothing to post on their site.

While I seriously considered the Alleggeritas for max weight reduction, I'm not a fan of the Alleggerita's looks - wish the spokes extended fully to the edges of the rim - so I decided to go for the Leggeras as I love the look, and they cost slightly less. 3lbs per wheel is still a nice amout of unsprung weight to remove.

This is what 18s look like on a white BRZ:

that looks like 18s on stock height, beautiful wheels, i'm really interested, however I wish they came in gold. but i can always powdercoat them i guess.

Great looking wheels wow. With so few skinny spokes I would feel obligated to get a big break kit though.

MightyMeeple 03-19-2014 10:07 PM

@tomkozski thanks for your post...did you order the 35 or 45 mm offset?

I'm planning to order a set of 17x8 this week.

Why the Rec. Tire Size is215/45-17?

17x7.5 will be 225/45-17, is that correct?

Thanks.

215s will still fit. I'm guessing since the rims are new, tirerack's info isn't fully up to date yet. I plan to mount my stock michelins on the rims until I wear them out.

I ordered the 17x7.5s with 48mm offset to stay as close to stock as possible. I'm just looking to improve the looks and lose some weight. Car will stay at stock power, so I have no need for more width, and I want to maintain the car's playfulness. Stock rims will be kept for use as my winter setup.

If only they came in black. *Sigh*

HI,

I am still a beginner in this topic. I have one basic question.
The different offset value will only the outlooking or also affect the ex. handling, road quality...etc?

Do I need to adjust the suspension setting to keep the same balance
as stock, if I have different wheel offset than stock?

Thanks.
