My favorite cheap/easy mods (Less than $150):
1. WeatherTech Mats ($100)
2. Reverse Camera ($120 installed)
3. Rear De-Badge (Free!)

My favorite mods between $500-$1500:
1. Suspension (Pro-Street Coilovers)
2. Wheels (Enkei RSF5 now, XXR 530 soon)
3. Tom's Clear Tails

First mod for BRZ owners: Change the startup screen for the nav system. Especially to something darker if you plan to turn the car on at night. Having a bright white screen flashed in your face is annoying.

I'll echo the Fumuto valve recommendations.

I've run one on all my cars for years without any issues - you know, aside from oil changes taking next-to-no time.

Front swaybar should be listed.

For cosmetic mods I would list the JDM Black interior dash bits which get rid of the silver bits that are quite distracting for some people and are cheap too.

Maybe the OEM oil cooler thread too?

Where can we get reverse camera for $120!?

My can't-see-shit % tint makes everything black. :D

I though about the OEM cooler for the Forester but stikk debating if really needed for a street application, and it's not the cheapest mod either....

Are you running FI? If so, is it a turbo? If so, is it mounted down below? If yes to all three. no you do not need an oil cooler

My friend has a 600hp WRX that was a street car, oil never got too hot that he needed a cooler.

Hmmm nothing on the list is what I plan to add in my Toyota 86.... I'm still waiting for my car but what I plan to do:
- tinting the car windows
- reverse camera
- dash can (front and back)
- opticoat
- sound deadening the 2 doors

That's pretty much it.

I believe the oil cooler is needed only for the ones who track their cars during summer time.

You can get various backup cameras for $120 or less. The Rydeen Duo is a popular choice. But that is assuming you will install it yourself.

Thanks.

I think I checked this out before. Just don't know how to DIY this. haha

Wish I knew anyone in LA area who can do this.

I'm thinking of getting clear side markers as part of my list of mods, but I have a couple of questions.

Someone on this thread mentioned that the clear side markers had condensation issues. Correct me I'm wrong, but I thought this was an issue with the Helix replica clear side markers? Do the OEM ones (like the ones on nigel-jdm) have the same condensation issue too?

Also, putting in amber LEDs would keep it road legal in CA, right?

That person was indeed wrong, issues are with Helix, OEM have no reported problems. And as far as regulations go, i can't comment, but I would think you'd be right since I'd believe the color of the light has to be amber, not necessarely the markeritself, but then again in such a case they would have installed clear one from factory...
