Install Morimoto Retrofit kit into Winjet lights?

Winjet lights are nice, but halogen. Drop in HID kits are meh.

Anyone have any idea if I could use the H1 Morimoto retrofit projector kit (for stock lights) in the Winjets? Or is the sizing/mouting likely to be totally different? I've never done a retrofit before. I have the Morimoto kit already from retrofitsource (was intending to open/paint/retrofit the stock lights)

I emailed them a few days ago about the above and this is what they emailed back. Hope this helps.

Thanks for your inquriy! One of our resellers confirmed the Mini D2S is
nearly an identical swap for the existing projector in those headlights:
http://www.theretrofitsource.com/com...l#.UyG5-_ldVDg.

You'll want the round version ("O Lens") and no shrouds, pricing the kit
at $295.

The system comes standard with our most popular Morimoto 3Five ballasts
which put out an industry-standard 35w to give you about 3000 lumens per
headlight (approx 3x your stock halogens). The 3Five's also help the
bulbs operate at a cooler temperature, giving them a rated life of 2500
hours which is comparable to all factory HID systems. As another option,
you can spec the kit with the Morimoto 5Five ballasts for 50w of output
that adds approximately 1000 lumens per headlight but reduces the
warranty to 3 years instead of 5. You'll also want to note that the 50w
system still includes 35w bulbs, which won't have any short-term issues
but the color does shift to be slightly more yellow than on a 35w ballast.

Alternately, if you're an OEM-or-nothin' kind of person, you could go
for the optional Denso ballasts. These will basically speed up the warm
up time of the bulb (2-3 seconds vs 5-6 seconds for the Morimotos),
however by default, the Denso ballasts are not covered under warranty
for water damage. If you opt for our $100 waterproofing service, we'll
also cover them from any water damage. With the waterproofing, they are
among the most reliable ballasts available!

Looking at the bulb options, you'll see nothing above 6000K since any
Kelvin beyond that sacrifices too much light in exchange for more color.
We're more focused on performance vs looks here. As you move up the K
range, you're getting more color but less intensity from the bulb. All
vehicles with factory installed HID's run the brightest 4300K bulbs,
giving you a warm white light. 5000K sacrifices a tiny bit of intensity
but gives you a pure white light to enhance contrast. 6000K is still
mostly white, but with a slight tinge of blue to it. Alternately, 3000K
bulbs are super yellow, we really just recommend those for use in fog
lights.

For wiring, it needs to be the H11 relay harness for your FR-S.

Ah figured as much - can't use the existing kit. I guess best bet is to sell it and buy the proper version (or stick with the drop-in). The only thing not clear from their email is the H11 harness - HD relay H11 or Canbus H11. Thx for the info!!
