Please Tell Me What This Is
4 Attachment(s)
Hey guys. I'm not really sure where to post this, hopefully the mods will help me out with that.
Anyways. I need some help. I was with my friend and we ran into some trouble with his car. He asked me to post on here asking for some help. Attachment 70858 This is the result of our little mishap. The car hit some snow and the bumper was cracked. It was still driving, just some minor damage. The fender liners were screwed up and the radiator is bent, but the car's still going strong. Attachment 70855 Attachment 70856 We need to figure out what this is. Is it important? Or can it be handled in the long term? Please let me know if you know what it is. Attachment 70857 A couple of hours, some duct tape, and 2 cans of plastidip later, and this is the result. It held up for the week that it took us to get a replacement bumper from our Toyota dealer. |
That would be your flux capacitor. =)

It's a resonator for the intake. I'd just plug off the hole and call it a day. It won't hurt anything.

Great idea with the duct tape and plastidip. That's impressive.

Also, would you be able to help me out with this. Attachment 70860 Is it safe to drive the car, if the radiator is bent like that? We will of course be getting it replaced, but the car needs to be driven for the time being. |

as long as radiator did not leak, it should be ok to drive. check any leak first

That's the ac condenser and if it leaks you'll only not have air con

My friend just told me that after having the heat on for a while, maybe 5 minutes or so, he can hear a noise that sounds like a fan. Anyone know what this may be? Could it be the radiator touching one of the fans? In case anyone's wondering, we got the new bumper and we decided to plastidip it, because we're gonna plastidip the whole car soon. Here's a picture after we washed it. Attachment 70877 |
