Exhaust Installation

Hi Guys,

I have a Perrin Catback Exhaust, still haven't gotten around to finding a shop to install the exhaust for my FR-S.

Any suggestions on any places who can install this for a reasonable price? I'm in West San Jose.

check out Joey's shop in SSF. I know it's a bit far from SJ but prices are really reasonable. Downsides are it's farther away, and you may have to schedule it for a Weds night to do it. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...ight=joey+shop

Have you considered installing yourself? I installed my invidia N1 catback and had no experience installing one before. It's actually not too hard!

Speedelement in SJ quoted me less than $100 for a catback install, but you should consider doing it yourself. Takes less than an hour and it feels more rewarding when you do it yourself.

Try doing it yourself it's your car some wrench time on it won't hurt it's extremely easy

Kinda far from you but I hear good things about GST in Hayward.

Joey's rates are VERY fair, not going to post it up here, but it's definitely under $100 (way under). And that included doing a front pipe install too. I normally like working on my own cars, but the city = no space to do so.

Try renting tools from AutoZone? You can rent tools, but you'll need to buy a jack/stands.

Edit: I'm putting my Perrin + a bunch of other stuff BACK onto my car. Going to Pit Row in Santa Clara... you basically rent lift time and do the work yourself.

I can vouch for Joey as well, had him do springs and my exhaust and was very happy with the price.

yea its better doing it yourself but install price at speed element is pretty good so it's really up to you. better to do it yourself with a friend but if you must get it done speed element is your shop which is in san jose already.

Thanks for the suggestions guys! I ended up finding someone who was available to do it today, and got my Perrin Catback installed. Pretty happy with it so far, but I do wish it was a little louder!

Go to Pit Row on Lafayette. Pay $35 for the hour. Put it on the lift - do it yourself.

If it's just a matter of bolting it on, it's simple. And I'm sure many of us can help you install it.
