Seven months waiting for a SWP Limited MT BRZ has given me a lot of time to save and research this car. I had enough cash to buy the car when it was ordered in April, so I've been gathering lots of goodies from many of the manufacturers reviewed on this forum (Perrin, Cusco, GT-Spec, Whiteline, SRP, Michelin, Buddy Club, TSW, Stop-Tech, Yonaka, Grimmspeed, Toyota). Yeah, some will say I went overboard. I have a warm clean spot in the garage for the car and plenty of time this winter to set it up. I'm still excited but the wait has been tough.

Picked up my SWP Lim MT BRZ Thursday. Very happy fellow. Car runs like a dream.

Picked up a whiteout MT FRS today (Sunday). I guess the person ahead of me on the list didnt have things work out financially for him. Sucks because they said he had been waiting since April.

Things that I need to get used to:
Very soft clutch with abrupt engagement.
Stiff throttle.

Excited to begin a new journey with this car. Going to garage this car for the most part until the weather calms down (boooo).

Just put down a deposit for an ultramarine FR-S in Seattle.

According to the dealer, it's about a 2-3 month wait. Horray...

Seems like people are getting these sooner or later. I Have seen articles about the 2nd gen FR-S coming... makes me wonder if I got mine to soon.

Got a VIN! (7134xx) and it's in port! Hopefully it will be here (Eugene) before Friday and also hopefully it won't fall into the CEL range(higher VIN than any posted in the CEL thread so far) So excited!

So I got a call from the dealier yesterday saying they had an Asphalt MT they just got on the lot. I hauled ass over and finally got to see one of these beasts in person. It's so much shorter than I imagined. As kind of a larger dude, I found the seats to be kind of a tight squeeze but not uncomfortable.

I went out for a test drive and hoooooly shit. I was sold. This car is something I must have.

Long story short though, the numbers at the moment just aren't right for me. The dealer still has my deposit and I plan on playing a bit of a waiting game for a few months while I do what I can to finance the car.


It's just a question of when, not if.

Just traded in my MR2 for a BRZ.

Saturday I went off car shopping without the husband and just look what I came home with! I stopped in at Royal Moore in Hillsboro to look for a practical replacement car for my MR2. Apparently they had gotten this BRZ in on Thursday as an order that someone couldn't follow through with. I was looking for a practical car, but I had to drive the BRZ anyway. Well, 10 feet out of the parking lot and I knew I had to have it. Besides, it IS more practical than the MR2. :lol:

I was a Subaru dealer mechanic in the late 80's and owned a handful of their pushrod motor cars pre-1985. I always knew Subaru had great potential!! :thumbup:

I got a call from dealer last Friday that FR-S has been delivered, but I walked away from the dealer because I was not ready to trade my M3 in. I guess I lost my passion to the FR-S along the way or something...

I guess you can officially add me to this list now since I'll be stationed here for a few years.
