This surprises you? Modding cars costs a lot of money, regardless of what you're driving. Why not just live with the car in stock form for a while, save some money and add bits to it when you can.

alyon 05-10-2012 08:03 PM

Dude... you're replacing god damn everything...
What did you expect? Modding aint cheap.

Crashoverride 05-10-2012 08:08 PM

yup I will be buying in stages most likely the car\tint\springs, then go for the Intake and exhaust, then buy the rims\tires, and then save up for the kit...4 stages and then once the warrenty is over... supercharger...

Well if you are going to go with the 19" rims dont forget the $11K big brake kit that TRD is offering.:lol:Because it just wouldnt look right with big rims and small brakes. But in all seriousness I was debating to modify or not to modify. At the momment I just want to get the car first and try to pay most of it off before I can consider doing anything on it. But I will most definitely go get the windows tinted ASAP because it is way too hot in the summer here in texas. To do a accurate breakdown you need to figure in the taxes and interest (unless you are paying for everything in cash) and oportunity cost.

seriously thats a great deal and you get to get all of that through the factory and under warranty and fiance all of it lol! :) But the 5 axis stuff is pricey but thats what comes with getting upgrades through the factory. Still a good deal though all things considered i think.

33,332.75 OTD? I think that's what Canadians are paying for a bone stock BRZ Limited.

11K? You mean $11,000 dollars? no way a front big brake kit costs that much. Im guessing its in the 1k-2k range

I think the brembos listed on tire rack for these car are around 6.6k for front and rear much better brakes IMO WTF was toyota smoking when they priced them at 11k.

Well I am sure they outsourced the job and rely on their name brand to price it that high. Another reason might because of the U.S dollar to the Yen. But I am definitely never spending that much on brakes. Even the Brembos are too expensive to me.

blu_ 05-11-2012 01:53 PM

Yeah are you people daft? Those are imported Japanese parts. They are always completely overpriced compared to the US market. A top trim GT86 over there cost $35k if converted to US dollars.:bonk:

blu_ 05-11-2012 01:58 PM

Also if you can really get 19" rims with tires for $1600 you should be thanking them. Tires alone are going to be $1000 to replace every 15-20k miles.
