PSA: Winjets for $135

Credit to this find goes to @Msnicoleeeee (reposting from our NorCal thread)

I've seen pricing mistakes happen from all sorts of large businesses, and due to forums and PSA's been able to snag a few never-discounted things at great prices :w00t:

Looks like CarID priced their Winjets for the FR-S @ a low $135:

Their BBB rating is solid too: http://www.bbb.org/new-jersey/busine...239/#sealclick

Too bad I don't have an FR-S anymore, or I'd order this right away...

Edit: I am not responsible for your transaction, read the thread. My advice is to stick with PayPal - in any case, this is a good deal if it's really a mistake!

If anyone is wondering, only $200 USD shipped to Canada ;) If they honor the price anyway.

Not all credit goes to me. I saw someone post this on instagram and asked them. I believe he's a forum member here as well, @LuxuryVapes(if you're not the same person, sorry! lol)

It is a good find but they wont honor it, they dont even have MSRP right.

Well, take a screenshot of the price and save it. Place your order and if they cancel it call them lol.

I've bought 3 pairs of the same brand of never-discounted shoes from J.Crew (Aldens) and got them all 30-50+% off, they have always honored it or helped me out somewhere else for the mistake.

Edit: doesn't hurt to try, they're a big established dealer it seems.

I'd say the scale of business between J.Crew and CarID are probably slightly different...

Haha, I agree - but don't shoot the messenger! Just trying to help you guys out sheesh! Don't buy it if you don't want em!

That's funny you mention they have a good BBB rating yet I've seen nothing but horrible reviews of carid. lol.

I'd have to want a set of winjets pretty bad to even risk it, even at that price.

I hope everyone who has ordered a set recently through them ends up with their product at the price they have them listed for.

NorCal_Guy 03-10-2014 07:12 PM

I just bought a set and paid through PayPal so if it is wrong I'm backed up. Let's see what happens l ok

That is weird then! :iono:

I've always found BBB ratings to be pretty reliable, but I suppose proceed with caution with any dealer you're not familiar with. I have no experience with them directly, just based on the BBB search I did.

Yup. I just bought a set as well using Paypal too.

leicaboss 03-10-2014 07:14 PM

I think if I were buying a set for myself, I'd do PayPal as well. They've always had my back if anything weird happened.

retrosmiths 03-10-2014 07:15 PM

BBB is a scam. Companies pay them (or they extort companies, like Yelp) to hide bad reviews or highlight good ones.

ZOMFGAARON 03-10-2014 07:20 PM

They also have 99% on eBay. I think you'll be fine.
