THIS looks like a good heatshield alternative for aftermarket headers

Now first off I am not interested in Crawford turbo, but I like this blanket style if you will of shielding for their header, this was posted on Crawfords FB today. I don't know how others feel but I'd sure like existing vendors and manufacturers like JDL, Nameless,ft86 and others to consider this as an option as well. What do you fellas think?

Wow that does look good. I can't quite tell but are they using buttons and safety wire to hold everything in place? If so, great idea.

Nice!

Yep, I just saw this in the heat managment thread. Looks amazing. It's not cheap though.

Inconel is never close to being inexpensive. The wrap probaly cost more than $500 itself.

andrew20195 03-07-2014 05:46 PM

Yeah it's just under $700 for a custom header wrap for an inline 4. $200 more for an inline 5 or 6. Not sure if they'd charge extra for our boxers.

That does look awesome. Too rich for me though.

Those are made by Turbo Source, I would imagine they will take care of anything you send them.

Used it before on some time attack cars...awesome stuff

It is better...it is also more expensive and not as practical.

It keeps heat out of the engine bay better.
