The fitting looks different from what others have run; is that not a barb/push on fitting?

The fitting is the same as others on the block, however the -8AN is a press-on end that goes directly to a heater hose.

This is pretty much what aftermarket turbo line kits use. The hose end can be left as-is, or a clamp added for added security.
