I'd like something like that in ceramic white.

You know, I'm really starting to come around to the idea of hella-flush. I mean....it makes complete sense.

Who wouldn't want to combine the good looks of a sports car with the thrilling experience of low-speed off road rock crawling? With hella-flush, you get the best of both worlds....without even having to find a trail! You can simply to go any parking lot and enjoy the exhiliratingly tense experience of taking a Jeep Wrangler rock climbing, and look sexy while doing it!

Plus, just like the off-road bunnies, you can wear those ripped-off front bumpers and cracked side-sills with pride. It really screams "my car is not a visual statement, it's a tool, and I use it to the fullest!" It lends a feeling of authenticity, like that beat up old truck that your handyman neighbor uses to haul all his project supplies. "This vehicle is sexy because it was designed for a purpose"

I wonder how the BRZ would look w/ a STi hood scoop.

there's a big space between the hood & engine, almost like it was designed w/ sticking a intercooler on top. i think it might come in 2015.

Sadly, I think it would ruin the lines of the car. The WRX pulls it off because it's the automotive equivalent to a pug: it's just so damned ugly that it's cute.

This car is sleek. The WRX hoodscoop would be the visual equivalent of giving your greyhound a body length mohawk.

Methinks this particular vehicle is just much better suited for supercharging. If electric superchargers go mainstream, I would think that would be the perfect application for this vehicle.

Besides, with an electric supercharger, couldn't you impliment much better electronic controls to vary boost pressure in accordance with engine RPM, and allow a higher charge while maintaining durability?

Actually Rampant Renders did a sort of STI hood scoop, and it does not look all that bad. If could actually be functional and not be in the way, I kind of like it Here is the link to the thread with the renders.

it will look like crap if it's the "tacked-on" type like on the my02-my07 wrx/sti...

it might work if it's the sleek/integrated type found on the my08-my12 wrx/sti, like the one Draco233 referenced...

just my 2cents :iono:

My buddy Ryan just did this one. Not too into the rim color, but figured I'd share. Seems a lil dead in here...

Yea. There's space for an intercooler between the hood & engine, so that's what makes me suspect a scoop. But i too think it has a high probability of screwing up the looks. it also might be annoying because of the low seating, being in the line of sight while youre driving.

rosuhere 02-26-2012 12:27 PM

i remember the my04/05 sti's HUGE scoop... people used to say how they had to get used to it always being there when looking out the front windshield, haha...
