Scion FR-S legal for the new Pirelli World Challenge TCA class
I missed this when it was announced in December. The Pirelli World Challenge series has announced a new class for 2014. The Scion FR-S is one of the cars eligible to compete in this Pro Showroom Stock + type class. Most of the allowed mods are the exact type of mods that you see done to street driven NA FR-S to get a little more performance and improved handling and braking.
Here is a link to the announcement: http://www.world-challenge.com/news/...b-classes.html Here is to hoping that some enterprising race team takes notice and begins running this car successfully in a professional race series. The car has been legal for the Continental Tire Sports Car series for two years but has not yet been raced in that series. The Pirelli series uses stock motor and transmission so maybe pushing for more HP and the loss of reliability when doing so will not be an issue. I would love to see this car start taking some race wins. |

There's nothing like racing to improve the breed. |
