The Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge

This is going to be one sexy sedan. 4 doors with a the GT-R engine and AWD system. 560 HP and 443 lbft in sub 4 second 0-60 grocery getting pwah.

Who wants a $100K Infiniti? No one.

tahdizzle 03-04-2014 08:14 PM

The price doesn't mean it will be any less of an impressive sedan. :)

For what that thing will cost (>$100k) (assuming it actually has a drivetrain, suspension, and chassis that's anywhere close to GT-R spec, and not just a high-powered engine shoved into an otherwise ordinary sedan) and weigh (>4klb), I'd rather have an RS7, M5, or M6 Gran Coupe, honestly.

A loaded GT-R can easily be 125k, which admittedly isn't 150k, but it's starting to come kind of close...

Gee, I'd rather pick up a sTi wagon. It's got 4 doors, 0-60 in 5 seconds, a wagon which probably has more space (for groceries and pets), and it has AWD! No thanks, Nissan.

And if you don't want to pay $100K you can get the slow model instead! 211hp turbo four in a heavy ass Q50? Lame...

To each their own. I would buy a q50 if i had the cash.

Honestly, no one likes the concept of a four door GTR?
Guess I'm "that" guy then. :)

Well the GTR Drive Train is on a totally completely different level of car.

While the Q50 u ru ge Drive train has not been announced.

I am sure as heck that the Intelligent AWD in the Q50 AWD S now is not on par with the GT-R.

This. It's going to have an awesome engine, but at the same time there's not a whole lot of confidence that they're going to swap over the entire drivetrain. The car is a M3/M4, RS4, etc competitor, so putting it way up there in price and tech would throw it out of its league.

Another thing to ponder too is, if they decide to stay on this path, how are the GTR engines that go into the Infiniti going to be built? Right now each that goes into a GTR is built by hand, but if they want to keep this up it's going to bump that price up a good bit as well, I'd imagine.
