2014 BRZ "auto" lights

Hey guys
Just got my BRZ on Saturday, was wondering if the auto lights do shut off when you shut off the car, lock it and walk away? I left them on auto and they didn't want to shut off.. Is there a certain period of time before they do shut off?
Thanks!

Mine shut off when I lock the doors with my fob (BRZ Premium). Not sure how that works with the Limited/Sport Tech "Smart Key" (and it sounds like you picked up a Sport Tech).

However, I think they turn off automatically after a couple of minutes even if I don't lock the doors.

Not sure about your BRZ, but the running lights will shut off when I shut off the ignition on my 2013 FR-S ..... but not the driving lights.

What does your drivers manual have to say .. ??

If you lock with the handle on the door they timeout after a few minutes of the key being away. If you double press the lock button on the keyfob they will turn off immediately.

Hmmm thanks. I didn't try that with the key, I'll go do that now. Still haven't read the manual yet lol.. Picked it up saturday, worked, and then yesterday today have been chores around the house.

I now get why people say RTFM....this gets tiring reading the same crap. However I will attempt to help.
Yes, they time out after 30 seconds after closing the door, you can lock it once and they will shut off on a timer , lock it twice and they shutoff immediately, press it three times and the horn will sound. You can also have the timer changed at the dealer from immediately to 60 or 90 seconds (can't remember and I'm at work) after closing the door. You can also set the light sensitivity at the dealer so they come on later or earlier depending on what you like.

Btw, sorry for the rant and I would like to say congratulations and welcome. Lol

Yeah, I'm really bad when it comes to RTFMing.. so I apologize, my FR-S didn't have all these fancy gadgets xD I double clicked with the remote and that worked, I just feel too badass using my hand to lock the car to use the remote!
Thanks for the help guys!
