Unknown Front End Suspension noise

Hey guys. I've been having an issue with some noise coming from the front end when coming to a stop. Doesn't happen all the time but is quite noticeable when it happens. One time it sounded like the ABS kicking in and another it felt like a loose bushing or joint (my older cars had the same kind of noise due to bad bushings). First time this happened was when I went out to the hills to enjoy some twisty backroads. Came to stop sign and as i braked to a stop i heard a short groan/tick in the suspension. Then today I drove the car out of my neighborhood and came to a stop and heard what sounds like the abs kicking in. Similar to when driving in snow where you hear a lot of groaning from the wheels and brakes. Not quite sure what to make of it.

Has anyone had any issues with the front end making noises after spirited driving or regular driving?

No, not really, except after a washing, the brakes will sort of do a grabby-groany thing till they dry off.

Maybe your brakes are just wet .... but, HOW could that happen, this time of year, in Western Oregon .... :)

You may wish to take off the front wheels and check the brakes to make sure everything is tight. Or, take them into the dealer or a brake shop for a check up.

I hope you get it sorted out....;)

I had that issue too, but i cannot figure out what is wrong. I hear mines when i go up a hill and do a 3 point turn. When im about to accelerate i hear like a loose joint. My subaru dealer told me to go to the dealer for them to check it out, but i have not heard it in a while.

I suspect what you are hearing/feeling is just the differential doing its thing .... ;)

Check your springs... make sure they aren't cracked.

Check your bolts make sure they are tight.

Make sure there's nothing caught inside like a dead animal or something.
