PO171 SYSTEM TOO LEAN BANK 1

Hey guys Ive got a supercharged 350 horse 2013 scion frs (automatic) and my check engine light is coming on.
I took it to toyota and they ran there computer on it and I got 2 error codes

1. PO171 system too lean (bank 1)
2. P117B Fuel Performance/Direct Injector

The mechanic at toyota noticed on the dual exhaust that the oil is too rich and inside of the exhaust pipes was too black...
Im assuming this means its not enough oxygen and too much gas or something?
Toyota wont fix it because its been modded and not under waranty.... I took it to a few other places but they didnt have the right computer to talk to the car.
Im wondering what I should do, if anybody has experienced this, maybe hint me what I might need to change, really any info / help would be greatly appreciated!
When I hit the gas it backfires and the car is just eating my gas like crazy!
PLEASE HELP!
this is a beautiful car and i want to fix it!
Thanks guys!

The first place I would go to is your tuner. The one who modified your ECU to make the supercharger work. He's the one responsible for your engine running like crap.

+1 Also get why would you take your FI twin to the dealer. I am surprised they helped you.

Those two statements are contradictory.

The code says too lean, and the exhaust says too rich.
And a DI error...
DO you ever hear "pops" or backfires coming from under the hood?

And where did you get your tune?
Dont tell us you just put on the SC and drove it like that....

Its your tuner you need to talk to. He needs to do some adjustments in closed loop fueling.

God what an awful idea man :( id find a local shop and flash to stock, sell the supercharger setup and recoup some shop losses.

Contact shiv@vishnu http://www.openflashtablet.com/
Tell them exactly what the car has: type of SC, exhaust, etc.

And see if they have a OFT tune that you could try.
If so, it would be well worth the $500 to get a OFT and the tune, then you can log to see what is wrong.

If you are running a SC and the system is too lean, it is only a matter of time before you will be shopping for a new engine.

I dont think shiv does remote fi tunes yet. Also there are so many unknowns. This car could have been running lean for a while. If I were the op I would find a good local shop and have them do an assessment. How much did you pay. Also can you post a picture of the engine bay. Not that many sc kits for this car are out there.

I paid too much, and I got recommended to a tuner, would it be worthwhile to have the whole turbo kit retuned from scratch for a thousand bucks? I talked to a guy who tunes these cars and he said that's the best way to go

In the first post you say supercharged and now you say turbo....
