After 6 months of waiting (and almost swapping my order to the Enkei RS05RR), my Ray's 57FXX wheels are finally here. Had it installed earlier this morning and I'm just glad with how it looks. Conversative offset and width but I'm quite happy with how it turned out. Will be installing some lowering springs soon and on top of that, a brand new 4-pot Brembo BBK. No rubbing issues at all. Specs: Ray's Gramlights 57FXX (Black Machining) - 18" x 8J Offset +45mm Weight: 9.2kg = Approx 20.3lb (0.2lb or 0.1kg heavier than stock) Rubber: Yokohama Advan Neova AD08R 225/40/18 Attachment 68687 Sits surprisingly well at ride height - might be due to the TRD bodykit making the fender gap seem quite even. I have a set of TRD Sportivo springs which would lower it by 10mm once I install them. Why not lower it more? Unfortunately, our roads are terrible and I have already scraped my front bumper countless times due to potholes. To top that off, I have broken my exhaust diffuser hanger TWICE (and re-welded) due to ridiculous road bumps. Attachment 68688 Side view: Quite even and the black blends in very well. Attachment 68690 The red Ray's cap is a bit ricey but honestly I like it. Gives the car a bit of character imo. Attachment 68689 Back wheels could use a lower offset but I wanted a square setup no matter what. I'm quite happy with this actually. Attachment 68691 Front fender. Given the conservative offset, this sits rather well. |
Looks really good. With a mild drop It will look even better. Congrats and enjoy the car now.

Looks great...minus the "off" red center caps!
|
I like it. Fits the car very well. As others have said, a mild drop and it will be perfect

Thanks for your generous words and feedback!
I am going to lower this by 10mm (0.4") soon enough - and perhaps even more when I actually get some new coilovers along with 235/40/18 tires in the future. |
Just note when you do lower it an inch say, you'll need spacers at that offset unless you don't mind them being well tucked in..
|
Still waiting on my 18x9.5 +38 to come in with the max concave face 2.

On another note, I have given my new wheels & rubber a bit of pushing and I'm finding it rather interesting. These new AD08Rs are crazy sticky and I've been pushing it on the local touge roads and have yet to even come close to breaking the grip limits. Barely any chirping even at very hard cornering - braking has definitely improved and I'm holding much more speed throughout. The speedo is definitely slightly off but no biggie there. These are probably the most confidence-inspiring tires I've tried yet. Love them! |
Looks beautiful

Just an update after installing the wheels:
Attachment 69359 I've recently had the Brembo GT BBK for FR-S (4-pot front) installed and it clears beautifully. Even the tightest spot had around 7-8mm of clearance so no issues at all. I was a little afraid of fitment initially and almost ordered some spacers for that. Unfortunately due to the new size I wasn't able to get a BBK template (from Ray's) for the 18" 57FXX. Have installed the black Ray's lug nuts as well. All is good! |
Wheel and brake setup looks good, lower 1.5" and should be good
