Toyota GT86 headlights
So does the gt86 have 7440 turn signal bulbs in the front? Most pics don't show the front turn signals light up.
And if those don't light up normally, then what lights up in front when the parking lights are on? http://www.ft86club.com/forums/attac...1&d=1355213981 |
The headlights don't have turn signals...
That picture has the DRL strips, bi-xenon lamps, park lights/signals (not in headlight), and fog light. I was also going to tell you to look at your FR-S...but the monograms aren't out yet. |
The monograms have been out for weeks now. I have a white one.
But back to the topic. I'm interested to know how the Toyota GT86 configures the turn signals. Do they use 7440 or 7443 bulbs? Most reviews and pictures don't show the car at night. The North America Monograms use the 7443 bulbs, so they are a solid yellow when the headlights come on. |
Really, well I learned something new.
I would think that they are the same as the FR-S: a 7443 bulb about the fog. The Monogram and the 10 Series are both Euro/JDM spec as far as the front lights are concerned. Good question. |
We have 7440 turn signals BUT we don't have to have them lighting up as park lights so they are only used as turn signals. In theory, they will be the same as in the FRS for you lot I'd assume.

Rules here are obviously different. Even the side markers are only used for indicators. The only lights we have are the main HID headlights, LED DRLs and the rear lights.
When switching the lights, low lights is the DRLs and the rear lights. The main lights dims the DRLs and turns on the HIDs. Mind you, I have mine set in auto so it never uses the low light setting anyway. |

So the wiring harnesses are different. Well then.
Subie, I believe you have your info. |
The turn signal is 7440 so no dual function.

I would like to achieve this look. just have the front signals as signals only, not lit up as parking lights...
would this simply be putting in a single filament bulb? any help is appreciated, thank you |
