Tags not working

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/membe...6&tab=usertags

I'm not getting notifications when I'm tagged in a post... how do I fix this?

E.g. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...&postcount=385 I was tagged, but I get no notification, and It's not showing up on my tagged post list.

Thank you!

That post is a "Mention". I will tag you in this thread and you should see the notification, hold on. User Tagging is available above the first post, below the forum directory path for this thread.

Those are very hit and miss. Sometimes I get them months later, sometimes I don't see them at all.

same, i get a ton of missed mentions, probably 1 in 10 mentions make it to my inbox.

Is it a vBulletin glitch?

WingsofWar 02-27-2014 09:56 PM

id imagine its a server side return error rather than the vbulletin client glitch.

But then again we are using V3.8.4 a slightly outdated version of vbulletin vs the current 5.0 so it could very well be vbulletin itself.

My understanding is that a user ONLY gets a notification if the mention is done correctly the first time the post is applied to the forum software. If the user gets a letter wrong or forgets the @ symbol and goes back in to edit the post, then the user does NOT get the mention notification.

I can haz version 5.0? We shouldn't be on such an ancient version.
