track rental day?

Has anyone gotten a group together to rent out a track for a day before? It would make the cost pretty reasonable and be awesome to have a twins track day!

if you are interested i can open a private run group for you. it would include lunch at Willow springs, free timing and fire rescue plus corner workers

I've done it before, many years ago.

Unless the organizer wants to take on the financial responsibility and risk, you are better off going with a group that already has track time reserved who is willing to sell you an entire run group.

What would something like that run?

And as far as taking all the responsibility that person would just collect the money to pay for it, and the track covers their own insurance and that right? Or waivers or whatever? What risk would I have?

If you are doing your own event, you have to take care of all of the following:

- Track date reservation
- Deposit
- Insurance
- EMT/rescue/tow (if needed)
- Balance of rental fee due prior to arrival

This is all before you actually get people to sign up. If you have no prior experience or have no instructors, then you are also stuck with regulating drivers, making sure everyone is on same page with track time, rules of the track, blah blah.

It's much cheaper and less risk for you to just buy out an entire run group.

A private run group of 15 cars would cost you about $2200 - $3000 includes Timing and Lunch and insurance paperwork would be taken care of all you have to do is show up. PM me if you are interested

A better bet is to just head out to an ExtremeSpeed event with your friends and go have fun. Cost is about $100-150/person.

They'll be on the big track at Willow Springs Mar 29-30.
