If you read around this forum, you may come down to the same conclusion as I did. A CAI will do you no good with this car. Although, GrimmSpeed may be onto something (they have a long thread on their current R&D on CAI)

Just an FYI... You would have to remove your front bumper to install the Perrin intake. This may be bothersome for some ppl.

performance wise?

I've got the perrin. As everyone will say, don't get a CAI for performance, man. It won't increase HP much, if at all in these cars. But dat sound doe! I got one for the noise

I think if gains are to be found, if any is to stick with the stock airbox and perhaps use a high flow filter (things are cheap and easy to install anyway, did mine in ten minutes).

I was considering going CAI only to clean up the engine bay, it feels very cluttered - perhaps an inlet tube too.

gotcha! more cheaper than cai. what would you pick between K&N drop in or HKS hybrid?

I got the AEM to clean the area. Looks better than the stock box.

somehow the torque dip becomes less noticeable between 3-5k. the sub 3k power seems to suffer slightly.

top end power gain are hard to tell from the butt dyno.

im hesitant with regards to lossing more low end torque because im noticing it right now with my catless front pipe. having a sensible loss on sub 3k and its shifting a lil bit fast upto 3rd gear (oh, i have AT btw)

Maybe a little more responsive down low. I know higher in the rpms the intake is screaming so it "feels" like its pulling a little better in the 4500-5500 range. I've got an AT too btw
