FA20DIT vs EJ25 - 2015 WRX and STI get dyno tested

Road & Track published dyno results of the 2015 WRX and 2015 WRX STi. Looks like the FA20DIT makes full boost 3 seconds quicker.

Wow the WRX has more usable low end power and up top the STI only gets an extra 24hp to make up for it?

So basically if you swap the turbos then the WRX will probably be more powerful lol

For that matter, a tune will probably be enough.

You seen the gear ratios in the WRX 6MT though? Garbage.

Yep, it's just the size of the turbo. Larger means power up high, smaller means power down low. I prefer smaller turbos but a torquey naturally aspirated engine is best, IMO.

Well, they don't always have to be torquey down low, e.g. those low displacement Ferrari engines.
