coolant leak or burned rubber smell

Hi there,

2013 FR-S 15,000kms had already done the oil plate twice and also done passenger side valve cover sealant once.

In the same time frame since December 2013 experiencing odd smells, but what prevails is sweet taste in mouth right after sometimes 5mins up to 1 hour of driving. Have faint and thin oily film on windshield and side windows.

Been to couple of different dealers a few times to no fault found and kicked out every time.

Last night at -7C upped heater and car started to fog up with the halo around bright lights, even heater on full blast, it was getting worse and of course with sweet after taste in mouth. Any one experienced anything similar..

Any info or how to get Toyota to acknowledge its FUBAR and fix it once for all, would be fantastically appreciated !

Are you by any chance eating candy?

Losing coolant?

Bad heater core?

Any dampness on floor?

Sounds like heater core has a leak........

=======================
- Coolant in minimum lever mark
- Toyota won't touch the car unless "obvious" causes appear.
(No visible leaks, no coolant smell, had already 3 techs in my car, NONE noticed anything !!!)

that is what I am arguing, but if they don't see it, they will not touch it

Your all wrong. It's probably just the heater core.

You might try some "stop leak"; but if you do, make sure it's compatable with the "blue stuff" coolant.
