1 way and not recognized by Guinness.

Although it was still accelerating at 270, they just ran out of room.

I'm surprised this company is still around

f0rge 02-26-2014 04:38 PM

Would anyone actually buy one of these if they had $1 million?

I sure as hell wouldn't.

If I had a million dollars? No.

If I had a million dollars I could burn and it wouldn't phase me? Absolutely. But I'd also buy a Hartge for a winter beater,a Ruf for a DD, and a Noble for a track toy. What I wouldn't buy would be a Ferrari, or a Lambo, or something predictable.

If anyone posted a higher resolution version it might show the various disassembled customer cars and incomplete projects.

:D

Modified Elise chassis, and I doubt it's ever been crash tested, or NHTSA certified, so in my opinion, it is in no way a "production car".

You know, there was never any serious proof of any of that...

Yea, unfortunately:

On February 14th, 2014, on the Kennedy Space Center’s 3.22-mile shuttle landing strip in Florida, the Hennessey team recorded a top speed of 270.49 mph (435.31 km/h) with Director of Miller Motorsport Park, Brian Smith, at the wheel.[5] As the run was in a single direction and only 11 cars have been produced to date, and is not a series production car, but registered as a modified Lotus Exige, it does not qualify as the worlds fastest production car in the Guiness Book of Records.[6]
