Spyder Headlights wont fit!?

I'm here installing the Spyder LED headlights into my BRZ limited and the prong from the Spyder headlights don't fit the factory prong. The Spyder prong is too small and wont fit in properly.

I'm pretty sure they can't swap. It's similar to how the Base FRS and the 10 Series headlights don't match connectors.

I'm curious to why someone would replace the BRZ headlights with Spyder, but to each their own.

Didn't know this. I purchased these from @ft86SpeedFactory, a forum vendor, and I asked the CS rep. specifically if these would fit into my BRZ and if any modifications needed to be done. The CS rep. said "YES, they will fit". Took the day off from work to do this project only to find out these prongs dont fit!

So what now?

Well, the headlights fit, the connectors don't fit.

Haha. Yup, they are right. They do "fit"...into the housing and that's it. Those guys got me!

Interesting i also have a BRZ Limited and bought my spyder headlights from FT86speedfactory. Please let me know what the fix or work around is.

You'll probably need a wiring diagram to isolate which wires are for what and splice them together yourself. Or have a voltmeter and figure it out that way.

Got bored of them and decided to try something new. Of course, I would never sell the OEM units.

Looks like at the time when I ordered min, 2/7, all they had during that time were the FRS units. I guess there was some confusion on my question when I asked if the Spyders would fit the BRZ and they must've thought I was asking if the BRZ OEM HID bulbs can swap into the Spyder units? And the answer to that is yes. They told me that I can exchange them for the BRZ specific Spyders(which they are working on getting), but I declined for a full refund. I will wait until some other designs come out.

I hit up another member here that makes 6-pin to 8-pin harnesses. He told me that yes, they should work but I may need to alter some things around to get the DRL to run without having to manually turn them up. I am not too clear about it.
