Any allocations left anywhere in SoCal? (or even NorCal)

I'm late to the BRZ party and have been scrambling to find a preorder/allocation somewhere. Anyone happen to know any leads?
I've gotten replies from the following and they are sold out:

Santa Monica Subaru
Irvine Subaru
Sierra Subaru Monrovia
Sherman Oaks Subaru

I frequently go back to the Bay Area, Nor Cal area since that's where my family lives so I wouldn't be opposed to taking a trip up there if any dealers have one available.

Any help is appreciated.
Thanks!

I don't know of any availabilities, but stay away from Subaru of Glendale. They're marking the car up $5K. Good luck in your search.

Thanks for the heads up on Glendale doc. I just spoke with someone from Rennick and Sierra Monrovia and they are out as well.

There were a couple left at AV Subaru but with a markup :(
It looks like I may just have to take a trip back home to Nor Cal and find one there.

There will be cars available soon after launch. So many people drop out of pre-orders/deposits for a host of reasons:

They get another car, decide to fix and keep their current car, can't secure financing, something about the car is an issue they did not realize, lose a job, find out they're having a baby, decide to wait for another year/different trim.

You will be fine, keep looking, you'll find one.

Thanks for the reassuring words. When is the 'official' release anyway? I seen posts on how they are appearing at the docks in Cali.
:thanks:

From my understanding, the official launch date is June 1st. So not too long now.

haha, that would be fun but isn't there some sort of fees to have the car registered in CA? Also - I would be worried about breaking in the car properly. I remember reading something where you really aren't supposed to take a long road trip in the first 1k miles.

I have a preorder in Socal I may be dropping as well. It's a Galaxy Blue Manual BRZ Limited. It's up in the air right now but I'm leaning towards not purchasing it. If you're interested, keep in touch and I'll let you know if I don't take it.

helloimgil 05-11-2012 03:16 PM

sure man, I definitely would be interested. I'll send you a PM

If you call him, I'd appreciate if you said Caleb referred you
Process was very straightforward and simple.
