Help about to pull the trigger....

on a set of wheels! RPF1'S 17X9 now the big question for me that i can't decide is 45mm or 35mm offset. I know the 35 will clear (a) BBK, but other than that is there any reason to go with the 35? I ask because I can get everything shipped from tirerack and mounted with the 45, so for ease thats awsome. I have coilovers and adujustable sway bar endlinks if that matters as i read that on stock suspension at full lock 45 slightly rubs.

say what!!! that would be awsome then...will do that

JerryMichaels7 02-25-2014 04:19 PM

called and unless I just talked to the wrong person they don't have that offset, from my understanding everyone that has that offset for sell they are custom sizing.

+35 clear's BBK's easier from what I understand - could be important in the long run for you (depending). Could be wrong. just going by memory

Corrected See CSG mikes post for more details, my bad

+45 offset will not clear a bbk, +35 only just clears most of them. +35 is a custom offset in a 17x9 and will need to be purchased through either a group buy or a vendor who has them in stock. There are plenty floating around in the vendor classifieds.

I've been dealing with @OAKOS Automotive all day...they've been fantastic. hopefully I can make my mind up and get something from them!

+45 will clear a BBK with a spacer, but you'll need extended studs.

+35 will clear all BBKs, but it's close.

+45 is aerodynamically superior, but you'll need to keep an eye on your inner edge of the tire; wider tires might rub your suspension, if you're on stock springs/dampers.
