What's different about them? Changing any geometry?

Shit Luck 02-25-2014 12:00 PM

fronts change geometry and allow for more angle.
rears allow for dual calipers as well as geometry changes i am sure.
this is pretty hardcore drift oriented parts.

wu_dot_com 02-25-2014 01:27 PM

what is the OE one made out of? did it say the structural integrity impact between the two design?

Shit Luck 02-25-2014 01:43 PM

the stock knuckles are cast steel

Ryaquinn 02-25-2014 02:54 PM

They allow for increased steering angle and roll center correction.

I'm waiting for Parts Shop Max to release their knuckles, but I emailed Wisefab last year and they basically laughed in my face. I wonder if they will come out some time soon...

Do they lower too? (ie: like lift or lowering knuckles/spindles for trucks)

Usually, companies do rear drop spindles which change the mounting locations for the control arms to the actual spindle. That helps correct geometry within the suspension.

I believe, depending on the design, it can also alter the ride height but I can't remember how much of a difference.

5. Modifying the pickup points on the knuckle (usually by creating a whole new knuckle), dropping them lower. Also, raising the hub location in the knuckle, which effectively creates a "drop knuckle"; a knuckle that lowers the car while keeping roll center similar. Some of the kits actually combine both ways, raising the hub, and lowering the pickup points

I'm so psyched for this... I can't wait or decide this or PSM

Just get tie rods, seriously.

These kits are wank factor. You're not using it for competition. Having that much angle will scrub off way too much speed.

I have new tie rods and I'm happy with the extra lock that gave me.

What tie rods do you run?
