Wideband power. From ecu or elsewhere?

Hi all. I've searched the threads so apologies if this has been asked elsewhere.

I've installed an innovate lc2 wideband controller which seems to be giving quite different readings to the factory a/f sensor. That doesn't bother me too much as it was recalibrated during the tune as it now reads down to 11.1 or so.

In researching the discrepancy I've found lots of threads that say the power and ground should be the same as other equipment that uses the controller. And that tapping the power in various places can result in up to a full 1 a/f...

I grabbed some power from behind the headunit while I was in there but am now thinking I should take it from the ecu since I'll be running one of the outputs into the ecu for an ecutek input.

What have others done? Am I worried over nothing?
At a steady cruise it is around 14.5 so seems OK.

It's just that when I boot it the factory sensor goes all the way down to 11 while the innovate shows a quick dip into the 11's then shows more like 12.5.

This is f.i. btw and I'm using a p3cars vent unit to display.

Cheers all

I pulled my power from the dimmer and the red/blue wire in the same area. I grounded to the dash frame.

Im using an AEM Failsafe, works perfect.

I grabbed power from the ignition harness. My innovate and factory readings are spot on. The factory does not read accurately below 12. The factory will undoubtedly refresh quicker than the innovate.

Above 12.5 or so, the factory signal will refresh quicker for faster readings. The wideband is more accurate below 12.5, (i.e. WOT boost).

I pulled my power from behind the radio on the ignition power. Its a fused 12volt source, and should work fine. Ground behind there as well.
