Running a Stagger stance?

Are anyone considering doing this? Putting 17'' in the Front and 18''s in the back.

is there any benefit of doing this, or is just looks?

I wouldn't.. I don't know if I'd notice the appearance difference but not being able to rotate tires plus the additional cost for (IMO) no benefit..

I'm sure someone will try it. I'm no expert on the topic, but anytime you change wheel sizes or widths, you most likely change the tire dimensions as well. When you change tires the contact patch changes and with that your handling charicteristics change as well.

The FR-S is said to be balanced to slightly prone to oversteer. If you make larger contact patches in the rear or smaller contact patches in the front, the slight oversteer changes to understeer. Is that what you want?

Personally.. I'm strongly considering a staggared width setup. I'm curious to know if I can run 18 x 8.5 fronts and 18 x 9.5 rears. But I wouldn't do this for track use.. just for daily driving.

thank you for responding. my use in the frs/brz will be 90% Daily driving, so i would have to say im interested in just the look aspect, but with just normal driving i dont think i have to worry about oversteer/understeer in normal conditions.

Then dont worry about it if it's for daily driving on here. U can always get a cheap set of track wheels if you decide to get serious. No reason for function over form when you're going to the mall and walmart
